Since Jesus came to dwell with us we may know that our Creator is the friend of sinners. Wishing all my friends and bloggers a wonderful and blessed Christmas

No paintings at this stage, but instead a photo taken not far from home a few weeks ago while out and about in search of new inspiration. Somehow I feel nearer to God when surrounded by His beautiful creation. Today is very hot :-32 C -and much too warm to do much of anything . My thoughts are with those of you who are enduring freezing temperatures at this time. I do hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season and that the new year brings better things.

Drawing from the past - a charcoal drawing from a couple of years ago of a friend and his best mate.

Well finally...here he is - our dear little boy, looking at the world in wonderment and taking everything in with those big brown eyes. Charcoal on paper 42cm x 33cm

Spring is finally here down under and although the air is filled with the joyous sounds of blackbird and thrush, the silver-eyes no longer congregate at the bird feeder. I shall miss them over summer, but look forward to their return in time for the ripening apples in the autumn. This little fellow is my first attempt at silverpoint. His quizical expression seems to ask "What do you think?"

Wee Chuppa Chup (grandson- not his real name). The world is filled with wonder - got to take it all in! Still sitting on my easel while I work on other projects.

A winter's day and the local hunt were out in force. Sadly the hare did not get away! Loved the horses though and the warm afternoon sun.

Haven't posted in a while. Finding it difficult to settle to paint after 7.1 earthquake 5 days ago . Much damage in Christchurch, but mercifully, not to mention, miraculously, no casualties. Aftershocks continue to unsettle and also to damage already weakened buildings.

I really enjoy drawing these horses. They are so strong, yet graceful. Truely magnificent animals

I wanted to paint something a little more thought provoking. This one is titled "The Last Day" and refers to the day of judgment we all must face.
For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ -Romans 14:10
I am glad He is our judge.

Another picture by Anna Schoolderman - love painting people! These boys were playing on the beach (trying not to get too wet) and were irresistable.

This has to be one of my favorite paintings and is also very popular with visitors to my gallery. The original sold at exhibition but I've done a limited edition printing.

This is a charcoal drawing I did of the two men in my life. It was done from a photo taken many years ago. looks like I will need to do one of the next generation!
